Nutrition plays an important role in cognitive health, physical wellbeing, and comfort.

Our dining program prioritizes residents’ choices and provides custom menus that are healthy and change weekly.

Our dining program prioritizes residents’ choices and provides custom menus that are healthy and change weekly. Unlike many memory care communities, Salize has eliminated unhealthy processed foods from our menus. We’ve also cut out foods that are deep-fried or contain high-sodium additives, such as MSG. Plus, we work with residents to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.

Our “Green Kitchen” is specifically designed for artisanal, small-batch cooking. When possible, we choose locally sourced produce from nearby farms with an emphasis on seasonal and organic foods. Desserts are even made on site—from scratch! Menus feature regional and personal favorites residents are accustom to enjoying, such as red beans and rice, King Casserole, Tex-Mex and Texas barbecue dishes.

Each resident taste preferences and favorite dishes are noted to make choosing between meal options easier for them.
